This class is a beginning to intermediate wheel throwing class at Wildling Collaborative Arts in Eugene, OR. In this class we will build a strong foundation of basic pottery skills, including centering and making basic forms that can be made into cups, bowls, vases, and plates that you can use! We will discuss, "What makes a good mug?" and practice making and attaching handles. Each class begins with a demo and there will be plenty of time to practice with teacher support.This class is for people with little to no clay experience, or for those that want to tune their skills.
This class falls on Thursday Nov.28th. We will skip this week and our last week will be Dec. 5th.
Unlimited Studio Reclaim Clay for class time as well as glazes, and firing for up to 20lbs worth of completed work is included in the class price. Tuition also covers access to our Open Studio on Sundays from 10am-4pm to come and practice what you are learning in class.
You are welcome to use the studio tools, but you should come with a basic tool kit (this can be purchased on our website).

Wildling Collaborative Arts is an Artists Collective in Eugene OR founded in 2023. We offer a membership ceramics studio which is the only 24/7 ceramics studio in Eugene. We are also home to Viking Textile Makers Space, a textile makers space founded here in Eugene by Mitra Gruwell. We host workshops and classes in our large classroom space as well as offer private studio for local small businesses in Eugene. Mystic Fables Leather runs their leather making business in one of our private rental studios, along with other local Eugene artists. We have recently opened up our gallery space to host the works of local Eugene artists. We are active in the Whitaker community and participate in the Whitaker Last Friday Art Walk. Wildling Collaborative Arts is an accessible and inclusive space.
