In this beginner ceramics handbuilding lesson in Eugene Oregon, we will introduce you to clay with one-on-one instruction in a positive environment. Lesson are beginner, intermediate, and advanced friendly. You'll be able choose from pinch pot projects, functional dishes, coiling vessels, building slab forms, or sculptural pieces. You can use our designed projects or you are also welcome to bring in design inspiration of you own and we can go over the techniques that you would need to bring your idea to life. This lesson is for 2 hours of private instruction which is a great way to see if clay is for you! If you are wanting a bit more then that we recommend that you book 2 consecutive lessons. Each class begins with a demo and there will be plenty of time to practice with teacher support.
Each private lesson includes, clay, glaze, and firing, as well as 1 free pass to our open studio Sunday so you can practice the techniques you will learn.

You are welcome to use the studio tools, but may also purchase a basic tool kit (this can be purchased on our website).

Wildling Collaborative Arts is an Artists Collective in Eugene OR founded in 2023. We offer a  membership ceramics studio which is the only 24/7 ceramics studio in Eugene. We are also home to Viking Textile Makers Space, a textile makers space founded here in Eugene by Mitra Gruwell. We host workshops and classes in our large classroom space as well as offer private studio for local small businesses in Eugene. Mystic Fables Leather runs their leather making business in one of our private rental studios, along with other local Eugene artists. We have recently opened up our gallery space to host the works of local Eugene artists. We are active in the Whitaker community and participate in the Whitaker Last Friday Art Walk. Wildling Collaborative Arts is an accessible and inclusive space.
