Ever wanted to try ceramics but don’t have the space for large equipment in your home? Or maybe you’re a wheel thrower but want to widen the possibilities when it comes to surface decoration and additions to your pots. Dip your toes (or should we say fingers?) into the world of hand-building with this 3 week course where you’ll have the opportunity to get a feel for working with clay and learn tools that can be easily transferred to your kitchen table. This is a beginner-friendly class where you’ll learn essential handbuilding techniques as you create sculptural and functional pieces.  We’ll be pinching pots, carving and scooping out cups, coiling vessels, and building slab boxes.  You’ll also learn surface design applications and take home your finished glazed pieces.  

Cost: $155 per person

You are welcome to use the studio tools, but you should come with a basic tool kit. This can be purchased on our website for $20 or at Georgies.
